So I pulled the SSD off my frankenstein's monster of electrical tape, screws, and a caddy within a caddy. but the SSD wouldn't match up with the required sockets on the back plane. ![]() And came to a nasty realisation that I'd have to turn the server off (duly done) and pull the SSD (fiddly, but done) and frankenstein it to the caddy to fit properly.ĭone. I was in a hurry to get the Backups working again. The SSD was literally plugged into the SATA socket in the back plane, as I didn't have a caddy to house it. The hashes table rebuilt itself, and for about a month it was running fine.Įxcept, that in order to get this working, I had had to do some frankenstein work. but due to the way the hashes table works, I had to fit a fresh SSD in the only bay I had left. This is our primary backup server, running ArcServe UDP on Windows Server 2012 R2.
